The Geographic Regions Of The World

The geographic regions of the world can be divided into: Africa, Asia, Central America, Eastern Europe, European Union, Middle East, North America, Oceania, South America, and the Caribbean.

There are many ways to organize the world and every single country in it. One of the ways in which to do that is by geographic regions. So, what are the geographic regions of the world?

What Are The Geographic Regions of the World?

The world can be divided into the following geographical regions:

  • Africa.
  • Asia.
  • Central America.
  • Eastern Europe.
  • European Union.
  • Middle East.
  • North America.
  • Oceania.
  • South America.
  • The Caribbean.

Africa

With each new day in Africa, a gazelle wakes up knowing he must outrun the fastest lion or perish. At the same time, a lion stirs and stretches, knowing he must outrun the fastest gazelle or starve. It’s no different for the human race. Whether you consider yourself a gazalle or a lion, you have to run faster than others to survive. – Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Africa can be divided into 5 geographical regions:

The Americas

A new bubble will replace the old one. A new technology will come along to fix the messes we made with the last one. In a way, that is the story of the settling of the Americas, the supposedly inexhaustible frontier to which Europeans escaped. – Naomi Klein

Although the Americas are just divided in two continents (North and South America), the Americas can be further divided into four separate geographical regions:

  • North America.
  • Central America.
  • South America.
  • The Caribbean.

Here are countries in North America:

  • Bermuda.
  • Canada.
  • Greenland.

  • Colombia.
  • Ecuador.
  • Falkland Islands.
  • French Guiana.
  • Guyana.
  • Paraguay.
  • Peru.
  • Suriname.
  • Uruguay.
  • Venezuela.

The geographical regions of Central America and the Caribbean are part of the continent of North America.

These days Europe is divided into the European Union and the rest of countries. An older division that is still sometimes used but has gradually become more irrelevant since the 1990s is that between Western and Eastern Europe. Western Europe used to refer to the capitalist countries in the continent, while the communist states used to be referred to as Eastern Europe but this distinction became irrelevant after the collapse of the USSR, the fall of communism in Europe and the reunification of Germany.

Mechanisms By Which Probiotics Act On The Human Brain Still Elude Us, But We’re Getting Closer

By definition, anything that’s called a probiotic must produce a scientifically demonstrated health effect. And in theory, this could be a brain health effect. We know that bidirectional communication occurs between the gut and brain — and furthermore, that the commensal gut microbiota may play a role in modulating this “gut-brain axis,” likely through pathways that […]

Examples Of Exothermic Reactions

In chemistry, an exothermic reaction refers to a chemical reaction that results in the release of some quantity of energy, normally in the form of light or heat. The opposite of an exothermic reaction is an endothermic reaction, one that takes in heat from the surrounding environment. The characteristics of an exothermic reaction can be expressed with the […]
