Zoe Hilioti

Zoe Hilioti is Senior Researcher of the Institute of Applied Biosciences at CERTH. She graduated in 1991 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the School of Agriculture with specialization in Plant Sciences. She then earned a master’s degree in Greenhouse Management/Protected Crops from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania in 1993 and a Ph.D. in Horticulture/Molecular Biology from the Pennsylvania State University in 1998. Her current research is aimed at achieving an integrated and systems-level approach of the mechanisms by which extracellular and intracellular cues influence cell function and morphogenesis.
