Dr. Reza Shahbazian-Yassar is an associate professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  He has published more than 126 journal papers and four book chapters. His research is mainly focused on (1) in-situ TEM of functional nanomaterials; (2) material design and discovery for safe and high energy density batteries; and (3) advanced manufacturing for batteries.
