Patricia Eichler

Dr. Patricia Eichler earned her doctorate degree in Biological Oceanography at the Oceanographic Institute of São Paulo University, Brazil, in 2001, and currently has two appointments at the South Santa Catarina University (UNISUL) and at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in Brazil as a Full Professor and Researcher.

Currently working on a newly-discovered Coral reef area in Brazil, in her eighth Postdoc, Dr. Eichler's publications sum up to 30 articles, of which 40% were published in the last 5 years, integrating biological, physical, and chemical datasets in marine ecosystems. This expertise enabled her to work as a Visiting Scholar at Moss Landing Marine Labs in San Jose State University (MLML), and at the Ocean Sciences Department, at the University of California at Santa Cruz (UCSC) for the current year.
