Monisha Lakshminarayanan is a research assistant at the Schizophrenia Research Foundation, Chennai, India.  She received her MSc in clinical psychology from Montfort College in 2015. Her research focuses primarily on treatments for dementia in specific cultural contexts.

 

Cultural Adaptation Of Cognitive Stimulation Therapy For India

In the context of a Low and Middle Income Country (LMIC) like India, where an estimated 4.4 million people have dementia, the service gap for diagnosis and treatment exceeds 90% in most parts of the country (Dias & Patel, 2009). Effective interventions that are culturally relevant and feasible to deliver are a high priority for
