I work in areas of atmospheric and environmental science that can have practical applications in industry, in policy and in education. My current work considers both solar radiation and the longwave, far-infrared radiation generated by the Earth and atmosphere. Items of interest involve long-term changes in the radiative properties of the atmosphere and possible responses of the atmosphere to solar and geomagnetic activity.
