Coal dust pneumoconiosis is the number one killer of coal miners in China. According to the National Occupational Disease Report released by the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China, there were 864,825 cases of pneumoconiosis reported in China at the end of 2017, of which over 50% were in mines.
